With one of the best climates in Europe - mild Winters and long hot Summer days - the Lake Vinuela area is the perfect base for visiting Andalucia all year round.
Situated in the Axarquia region just 400 meters above Lake Vinuela, overlooked by dramatic Mount Maroma (at 2066 meters/6778 feet the highest mountain in Malaga Province) + 3km below the traditional village of Los Romanes, Casa Ianda is a detached property with Pool in a small residential development of Andaluz style villas; car hire is essential - there is safe parking on our drive.
Surrounded by 3 National Parks, this is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Within a few minutes drive are various white villages full of history + charm - and the major sites of Andalucia e.g. Granada, Seville, Malaga, Ronda, Cordoba and across the border to Gibraltar can all be visited on 1 to 3 hour drive day excursions.
Our 3 closest villages Los Romanes, La Viñuela and Puente Don Manuel are a 7-10 minutes drive away and provide good dining in several restaurants + bars. Our nearest beach is 15 minutes away at Torre del Mar.
